MinWeWe is an Indigenous‑led program that shares stories, teachings, and perspectives rooted in community, culture, and
connection to the land. The session offers an open, engaging space to learn, reflect, and build understanding in a respectful
and meaningful way. It’s a chance to listen, participate, and experience Indigenous knowledge in a way that feels accessible
and uplifting.
Anishinaabemowin language classes are held weekly starting at 10AM Wednesday July 8th and end August 26th
Singer/songwriter David Archibald presents a special show with original songs about Great Lakes history
featuring sailing schooners and Ontario pirates as well as songs about stinkpots, glaciers and camping at
Provincial Parks. A crowd pleaser for the entire family.
Neil is a singer/songwriter and scientist from Muskoka who is inspired by the natural beauty of Killbear
and the Canadian Shield. Original songs about the regions history and beauty along with some Gordon Lightfoot classics.
To attend this event pre‑registration is required. Registration will open closer to the event date. Be sure to check back and sign up early to reserve your spot and be part of this special experience. More information will be made available when known.

At Killbear, Parry Sound Library is doing a story walk at Twin Points and Waab King will be doing a medicine walk.
Rob Stimpson is an award‑winning Canadian photographer known for his striking images of the outdoors,
wildlife, and northern landscapes. His work has appeared in major publications and tourism campaigns,
and he teaches photography workshops across Ontario. Rob’s passion for nature and storytelling shines
through in every project he takes on.
Whiskey Jack is a beloved Canadian country‑folk group known for their upbeat shows, warm humour,
and rich storytelling. With decades of performing under their belt, they bring classic Canadian roots
music to life with energy and charm. Their concerts are fun, engaging, and perfect for audiences of all ages.
Join singer songwriter James Gordon for a special concert at the Park amphitheatre. James will share songs
about nature, the great outdoors, kid’s songs, humorous songs and, works from his long career with Tamarack,
as a solo artist, and from his years as songwriter-in-residence with CBC radio. Sponsored by the Friends of Killbear.

Square dancing is a lively, social folk dance where groups of eight dancers follow calls that guide their steps and
patterns. Set to upbeat music, it’s easy to learn, great exercise, and full of community spirit. Whether you’re a
beginner or a seasoned dancer, square dancing brings people together for fun, laughter, and a little dose of tradition.
Killbear is one of the Georgian Bay Biosphere Amazing Places with Killbear's own Twin Points Trail. This trail winds through hardwood forest, across rock barrens, and heads out on lichen encrusted rocky points for a spectacular view of the entire Killbear Peninsula above the sparkling waters of Georgian Bay. The Friends of Killbear are raising funds to help make the first section of trail barrier free so everyone can enjoy this Amazing Place.
