The Nature Shoppe will be open May 15th for the long weekend. Following the long weekend the plan is to be open Mondays and Thursday to Saturday until June 13th. Will update you with our summer schedule later. We look forward to seeing you. Come see our new inventory.
The Nature Shoppe, is located inside the Discovery Centre. Check the park
bulletin boards when you are at Killbear, for any change in hours.
Our team of friendly volunteers look forward to helping you choose the perfect souvenir! All proceeds stay at Killbear,
and are dedicated to enriching the outdoor experiences of visitors and campers. Proceeds also support responsible
stewardship of the natural eco-system in the Park.
The Friends of Killbear is pleased to provide free internet access at the Discovery Centre from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time. The network and password details are posted in the window by the main door.
Inside the main doors of the Discovery Centre, to your left, is a designated area with a counter, tables and chairs and a place to charge your equipment and browse the web, take a zoom call, or just check email on a rainy day in comfort.
This leaves the children’s activity area on the top level free for those it's intended for- kids!
Just a reminder-internet outages at Killbear can happen anytime, so if you have an important meeting scheduled, you may want to arrange for your own connection, just in case.
Carol’s Place will be open the same hours as the Discovery Centre.
The Friends of Killbear have set up a space in the Discovery Centre by Carol's Place. Please feel free to take a book or leave a book behind for someone else to enjoy. Children's books make a great addition as well.
