Killbear Provincial Park Photo Contest

Are you eager to capture and share the spirit of camping, playing, and enjoying nature at Killbear? Whether it’s biking, hiking, swimming, sailing, exploring with kids, relaxing on the beach, or simply enjoying inspiring natural scenes, we want to see your photos!

Entries will be judged on composition, lighting, and overall interest. Your entries can be emailed to killbearphotocontest@gmail.com . Please include your name in the subject line. Each person may submit up to three photos.

Photo Contest Rules

  1. The contest runs from January 1 to December 31, 2026; entries must be received by the closing date.
  2. All submissions must include a completed photographer agreement release. Photos with identifiable people also require a model release. Forms are available at the Discovery Centre or will be provided with the photo contest email receipt upon submission. Scanned copies of all required forms must be attached to your email along with your images.
  3. Entries must be original, unpublished photos taken at Killbear.
  4. Acceptable formats include colour or B&W prints, mounted transparencies/slides, or digital prints (minimum 5″×7″; original file at least 7.2 MP). No compositional edits are allowed. Original negatives or digital files must be available. All submitted materials become contest property.
  5. By submitting, contestants grant the park, Ontario Parks, and MECP permission to use photos for promotional purposes in any medium, without compensation. Previously published photos are not eligible.
